Police are appealing for information following several burglaries reported to police in the Ponsonby and Bootle area.

The burglaries have been to outhouses and garages with tools stolen.

It is reported a suspicious white flatbed van, was seen in areas days before these burglaries, containing two men requesting scrap metal.

Detectives are requesting any sightings to be called in to us - particularly if there has been any CCTV captured of the vehicle.

Police would like to take this opportunity to remind homeowners to always lock secure their outhouses and sheds, even you are at home and to be vigilant around any suspicious activity.
