Police have arrested a man following an assault on a woman in Kendal.
Officers were contacted after a woman, in her late teens, was assaulted by the suspension bridge between Mintsfeet and Dockray Industrial Estate at about 6.15pm to 6.20pm last night (26 January).
A 31-year-old man from Blackpool has been arrested on suspicion of committing an offence with intent to commit a sexual offence.
The woman was not seriously hurt but has been left shaken by the assault.
Officers would like to reassure the public that this investigation remains a top priority and enquiries remain ongoing.
