Emergency services have been responding to a two-vehicle road traffic collision on the A7 between Sandysike and Longtown, where the road currently remains closed whilst officers conduct their investigations.
Officers were called to the collision at 2:27pm today (July 26)
The collision involved a motorbike and a camper van.
The motorbike rider, a man in his 70s was taken to the Royal Victoria Infirmary by the Great North Air Ambulance Service with serious injuries.
The driver of the camper van was uninjured.
