Police received a report of a residential burglary which occurred on Charles Street, Carlisle at around 10:30pm on 21 February.

During the incident an unknown suspect is reported to have entered a property at the location.

Officers are aware of post circulating online where other individuals may have witnessed this or have information that could be relevant to the investigation.

Anyone with any relevant information, who witnesses the incident or has any information about similar activity in the area is asked to report this to police.

  • Lock doors and windows before you go out. Remove keys from locks and keep out of reach of windows and doors.
  • Consider installing security cameras.
  • Leave a light on in a room and draw curtains if you go out at night.
  • Consider fitting a burglar alarm, checking regularly to ensure they work
