Police are currently assisting Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service as they respond to a fire in Rawlinson Street, Barrow.
Officers are carrying out road closures and are asking people to stay away from the area if possible.
The road is currently closed at the junctions with James Street and Greengate Street.
The fire was reported to police at 12.10pm.
